ものづくりをする上で3DCADは欠かせないソフトウェア。
そんな3DCADの代表格といえばAutodesk Fusionです。その多機能さから多くのものづくりユーザーに使用されています。
ですが、Fusion唯一の欠点と言って良いのが値段。普通に買おうとすると月1万円以上かかってしまいます。
そこで使われているのが個人ライセンス（無料）です。このライセンスは個人で3年間 Autodesk Fusionを無料で使用できるというものです。
最近このライセンスについて、「趣味の場合は収益入っていいの？」という声が上がっています。
ということでこの記事では「Fusion 個人ライセンスを使った収益化」について実際に問い合わせて調査してみました！
そもそも公式にはなんて書いてある？
Fusion個人用ライセンスの申し込みページにはこのように書かれています。
個人用 Autodesk Fusion (Autodesk Fusion for personal use) は、自宅で非商用目的のプロジェクトを行う場合に限り、無償で基本機能にアクセスできる機能制限版です。年間総収益が 1,000 米ドル未満の個人ユーザーを対象とします。

年間収益が1000＄を超えるか商用目的で利用しているなら個人用ライセンスの使用を中止するように書かれています。
ここから言えそうなのは、個人的な趣味としての使用かつ年間収益が1000＄に達しないのなら、Fusionを使用して作った作品を販売できそうである。ということ。
一方で「収益化は不可」という見解も
こちらのポストのように、実際に問い合わせてみると「個人用ライセンスで作った作品の販売は不可」という返答があったという事例もあります。

Autodeskは最近チャットでの問い合わせを受け付けているみたいなので凸。
英語オンリーだったのでChatGPTに手伝ってもらいました。
まずは自分がこんなふうに質問。1つ目はこの話題についてあんまり関係ないです。

Thank you for elaborating your issue. for your first question, No you cannot have two separate licenses for fusion on single email but you can access those two licenses through different email i.e education access will continue to be active on the current email and for personal use license, you can use a different email to sign-up for personal use license.
For your 2nd question, No, under the personal use license, you are not allowed to sell designs or products even if your revenue is less than $1,000 per year. The personal use license is specifically for non-commercial, home-based projects. Selling designs or products, even for a small amount, is considered a commercial activity and violates the terms of the personal use license.
問題を詳しく説明していただきありがとうございます。最初の質問についてですが、Fusionのライセンスを1つのメールアドレスで2つずつ所有することはできませんが、異なるメールアドレスから2つのライセンスにアクセスすることは可能です。つまり、教育機関向けライセンスは現在のメールアドレスで引き続き有効となり、個人利用ライセンスは別のメールアドレスでサインアップできます。
2つ目の質問についてですが、個人利用ライセンスでは、年間収益が1,000ドル未満であっても、デザインや製品を販売することはできません。個人利用ライセンスは、非営利の在宅プロジェクト専用です。デザインや製品の販売は、たとえ少額であっても営利活動とみなされ、個人利用ライセンスの条件に違反します。

引き続き会話を続け、「他の人は良いって言われていた」「企業としてではなく個人としてだ」「趣味使用だ」と主張しましたが肯定的な回答は得られず。
「もう一度規約を確認してみます。」と返信しチャットを閉じました。

はい、もうわけがわからない。
これをXで共有したところ「手のひらドリル」と言われる始末。
なにが正しいのか？
問い合わせという正式なプロセスを経てもらったのは
- 商用利用できる
- 商用利用できない
という2つの矛盾する回答でした。
正直、何が正解なのかはAutodesk公式さえもわからない…という状況になってる気がします。
個人的な見解としては、趣味使用なら年間1000＄を超えなければ収益がでてもいいと思います。
もしもAutodeskになにか言われたとしても「サポートが言ってた」と反撃できるはず。
